Poshmark

Being a stay at home wife and mother I have often stressed about ways I can help contribute to the bank account.  I have to be good at something because I certainly suck in the house cleaning area. My poor husband and kids!! It’s a good thing they love me or I would have been fired ages ago!!  Back on topic, I’ve searched and searched and thought I had found a few things but the only real thing I have found that I have made enough money with to make a difference is with the app Poshmark. It is a site/app to sell gently used or new clothes, shoes, jewelry and accessories! Through this app I have made over $800 in less than a year. I know, this sounds like one of those scam posts about crappy things that get you stuck in a cycle of crap but it’s not!! You  have to share your items on a regular basis to get circulation and you do have to work at it but I have been able to make money to buy groceries and pay a few bills and that feels awesome!! Am I making  a living off of Poshmark? No! Could I? Maybe! So, if you have a closet full of awesome things that you just need to get rid of and could use some extra cash (who couldn’t?) then check out Poshmark! It’s great!

I will expand on my Poshmark adventures in later posts! Try to contain your enthusiasm!!

OH! And…. check out my closet….. Fairiebugg’s Closet

Poor Mom

I am a poor mom. It’s a bit embarrassing to admit it, but there you have it. We struggle, paycheck to paycheck and it’s not fun but we make it work.  That is not to say that we are homeless or that we go without because we absolutely are not and do not.  We have an outstanding support system of family and friends who help us out whenever and however they can.  Without them we would not survive!

My husband currently works a job he is grossly over qualified for and is going to school full-time at a University.  He’s studying to be a biology teacher.  More proud of him I could not be!  I’m very proud of my kids as well.  He’s gone alot because school is an hour away so he’s doing alot of driving and not much hanging out at home, but the kids don’t complain (much). Don’t get me wrong, It Sucks! They don’t like not seeing their father very often but they seem to get it.  It’s temporary and for a good reason.

Being poor offers surprising opportunities for creativity.  It’s amazing how much fun a 6 yr old can have making flowers out of coffee filters or sun bleaching a piece of construction paper to make pretty pictures.  The older two seem to be fairly appeased by video games and strangely enough, my reading to them.

For me, it has forced me to look for homeopathic remedies I probably never would have thought of before.  I have always been drawn to the idea of natural healing but not always having the money to pick up whatever medicine you need from the grocery store or pharmacy has made me open a book or two on home remedies.

I’ve been thinking about posting some remedies I have tried.  I think I shall…next time!
